Part-Time Farm Crew and Market Manager

Job Description:

  • 20-25 hrs/weekly

  • Time Frame: April 1st - November 20th

Days needed: Monday & Tuesday 8am-12pm (8hrs), Wednesday 12pm-8:30pm (8-9hrs), Thursday 8am-12pm (4hrs)*

*Some days may go a little longer than the above projection in order to finish a task. There is also flexibility for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or even Friday hours. Instead of 4 hrs for 3 days, 1- 8hour day could work also.

Tasks include:

  • Greenhouse Seeding

  • Harvesting

  • Wholesale and market organizing

  • Washing and sorting veggies

  • Field Maintenance: Stringing tomatoes, weeding, tarping, mowing etc

  • Planting

  • Off-farm errands (deliveries)

  • Drive from farm to market in Carlisle (20 minutes away), set-up and running of our market stand every Wednesday (8-9 hrs day)

Compensation:

  • Pay: 16$-18$/hr- based on experience

  • + 1 CSA Share/weekly included

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record

  • 18 or older

  • Lift up to 50lbs

  • Work outside in all weather (rain, cold, heat)

  • Good customer service skills
